As an Icelandophile I have no trouble resisting any kind of Skyr that is flavoured.

Iceland cheap flight
I am of course very temped by these posters since this is my favourite
country and it is not too much money. It may not be the right time though,
sadly.

Hustle and bustle
Reykjavík was busy compared to the countryside in Iceland. Schiphol feels like a constant attack on the senses after one arrives here from beautiful Iceland.

The new Harpa
The new concerthall Harpa in Reykjavík is like a giant glass beehive. I haven't heard a concert but I walked inside and outside and had a coffee on it's terrace in the warm sun

At the same time the moon comes up
Big, clear, bright Harvest Moon came up as the sun was setting. We were having french fries and a cheeseburger and enjoyed the view.

Statue
I didn't look for a plaque describing who or what this statue is and I couldn't find it on the net, so I guess this is just a statue with creepy eyes.

On Snæfellsnes
From Álf Heimar we had a view on Snæfellsjökull. Guided here by the friendly German girl, who I managed to insult without her noticing it (which I feel bad about; sorry, German girl, I loved your spirit and how you learned English and Iceland and you wanted to learn more languages), we fell for the view.
Snæfellsjökull
Driving up towards the glacier we came closer and closer until we felt we should return because we had no idea how the road would be further on.
Stykkishólmur in the distance
After much contemplating whether to take the ferry Baldur across or drive around the fjord we discovered that the ferry was not sailing. It saved us a decision.

Sunset in Breiðavík
Before we had a night of Northernlights we watched a magnificent sunset on the very wide, sandy beach.
Grave in Breiðavík
How come, we thought there are so many more gravestones than there could possibly have been inhabitants of the region. I learned later about the fate of some of the boys who lived here. I have no idea about what happed to Trausti. Probably he was very happy
Selfmade artists
The papers called him the artist with the children's heart. I thought here was a man who lived the punk ethos: create it yourself.

Hot hole in the ground
I couldn't take a picture with us bathing at the same time so this is a shot afterwards. This nice hotpot called Pollurinn, out in the nature along the road, is a great Icelandic treat.
The interior
Just south of Þingeyri a trail leads up the mountain. From the trail the view is beautiful. The clouds were chasing and sometimes this mountain was in full sunshine.

Tyre repair
I am not blaming the farmer, because he tried to help us, but in doing so he punctured our tyre so much that we needed a new one. And because the car was a 4x4 we needed four new tyres. It turned out to be expensive help.

Before seeing a Harbour porpoise
Yes, we didn't know it yet when we had lunch in this beautiful valley. We had just seen two hawks at not more than two meters. Just sitting on the road. And then shortly after we saw a harbour porpoise which was slowly swimming in the fjord. I guess we had lucky day.

A thank you note opening the guestbook for the nicest summerhouse where we stayed this holiday.
