After an initial attempt where they mostly just demolished the field, now they are back. The field is frozen and it looks like there is no obvious damage. Apart for the digging of course.

It looks like the day is preparing for the possibility of northern lights tonight. If only the clouds disappear more...

Toad or frog?
Whatever the name or species, it was sitting in the middle of a quiet road. I was too chicken to pick it up and move it.
Now what?
It has taken one whole day to lay the concrete slabs. Now they are moving earth around. What are they planning to do here?
Grayish green
It's less gray than yesterday but still the grayness is upon us. Good that we had two bright and fresh cold days earlier this week.

What are they doing?
Since two days they are reshuffling the construction material storage but what are they going to do with these concrete slabs?

Groningen
The red boat in the harbour is named Groningen which is a good name for a red boat.

I want to wake up...
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps, sang ol' blue eyes. Me, I like waking up with a fiery red sunrise in a city that slept nice and quietly. Or however a city pretends to sleep.

Mist and mill
Bicycling back from shopping in Zuidhorn -easier now with a tailwind- my glasses stay cleaner and I can see the sun occasionally peeping through the mist. Not so visible here, though.
Moon, chandelier and me
Another reflection in the window on this misty morning. Actually, it looks pretty vague.

Coloured houses
The houses in the neighborhood. Some are vacuumed by blondes in pink bathrobes.
Icelandic fish
An Icelander wouldn't eat fish this old. But we tell ourselves that it tastes better when it comes from Iceland.

Reflecting the lamp.
Hoogkerk in the light
Just a bit too late because I had to get my phone. But still an almost iconic picture of the sugar factory.
