On a slightly, occasionally drizzly Saturday-afternoon, sitting outside the cafe where -now dead- Sjoerd Kooistra once started out. The city feels busy.
The model passed us by with her boyfriend. But she averted her eyes.

Early morning tower
Well, it's not that early. The clock shows it to be 10 minutes past eight. It's almost the end of the summertime period.

Golbarg flower
Wherever you are, Golbarg, these flowers always remind me of you. I hope you are doing fine.
P.S. They are not the exact same type of flowers but they remind me of you anyways.p>

Collection of garden creatures
In the Hornbach hordes of garden-gnomes and frogs, surrounded by early Santa Clauses, waved merry.

Mammoth, tree and cars
In Winschoten, on de Venne, I saw a huge, red tele-crane of the Mammoet-brand.

Burned school
A small spot in the middle of this picture indicates the school that burned down last weekend in Gravenburg. My wife asked me where this school was and it took me a bit to realize it was very visible, a black skeleton in the green fields.

Banksy in Winschoten
This is the result of a fire but it reminded me of Banksy. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's an old viking riding an old pony. Or possibly shagging an old pony. Maybe he's just mounting it. The pony is too old to bother which ever it is.

Warriors from Scheemda
These warriors had just come marching down from Scheemda to Winschoten where they now rest in the townhall.

Midwolda on an autumn Sunday afternoon
Sitting outside the Vicarie we enjoyed an Apfelschorle and creamcheese-pie with cherries.
Ennemaborg in the autumnlight
This autumn Sunday was warm, sunny and bright. We decided to take a walk in the park behind the Ennemaborg. As did half the population of Winschoten, Scheemda en Reiderland. It was almost overcrowded.
And it was warm. Well above 20 degrees Centigrade. Which is rather nice after a month of rain and low temperatures. We didn't walk long because of the crowds but we did enjoy being out there in the park.

Rectangular pond
Last Monday we ran around these two ponds as part of the Monday-evening training. Two runners were paired and started out running in opposite directions. One went slow as a recovery, the other one went fast.
Half way the pair would meet and high-five. The second time they met, the pair had to reverse direction and speed. The fast runner would now run slow and recuperate, the slow runner would now run fast.
Nice exercise.
From the Ebbingebrug looking at Nieuwe Ebbingestraat
I crossed the red light from Oude Ebbingestraat to the Ebbingebrug on my bicycle. Then the traffic started on the Diepenring so I waited a bit. When the pedestrians got their green light I started bicycling again. Like a regular city-person I wasn't going to wait for a useless traffic-light. Duh.
