It gets light later and later which is especially noticeable at this time of year. A month earlier the whole square was bathing in the sunlight at this time of day, eight o'clock in the morning, but now the first floor is still in the shadows.

Berghotel Amersfoort
Loitering outside Berghotel Amersfoort in a break from the first two-day training with Schouten en Nelissen. The weather looks great today, sunny with blue skies. But it is rather fresh.
Nevertheless, it is very good to clear my head and be outside during the break.

Kopaf in the northernmost part of Oldambt
This house is for sale but we didn't like it. It lies where two roads cross, at a bridge, with trees blocking the light. The garden was nice and deep, just as we like it, but that was the only pre. And it was too expensive. No wonder it's on the market for almost two years.

Vismarkt from the balcony of Australian chocolates and coffee
While waiting for Jan I snapped this picture of the Vismarkt going from a rainy Friday-afternoon to a sunny late-summer, early autumn late afternoon.

Weem in Westeremden
The house of painter Henk Helmantel whom we met after we visited his 20th yearly exhibition. This was our first time and I thoroughly enjoyed the tone of light of his paintings. As we left he just came out of the door and we exchanged a few words about the beautiful weather.

Zaltbommel and the river Waal
After meeting with a coach from Schouten en Nelissen I picked up my wife again who was sitting at the riverfront in Zaltbommel.
Before the meeting we had lunch together, then I left and she walked around the old town.
It was beautiful weather today and before we returned home we had the best icecream I had in ages at Tiesimo in the Gamerschestraat. I know good icemakers but this one tops my list now.

Parking under the Ossenmarkt
Under the Ossenmarkt, the light is blue now. It changes colour slowly. This is the best parking in town with an inwardbound and outwardbound spiral and every parking-space is left or right tangential to the spiral. Easiest parking possible.
Typical Ikea
Out of focus is very unlike Ikea but the rest, the sofas, the posters, is all very Ikea.

Carl De Keyzer - Congo (belge)
Exhibition at Noorderlicht Groningen. After we saw the first expo with images from the late 19th century and early 20th century we also wanted to see the pictures from now in Congo.
Almost everything was in decay. The only places that looked half decent were mission-schools and churches. I was wondering if maybe decay was good because it were the remnants of western domination that were in decay.

Food on our Dibbern plates
Today we ate some leftovers from yesterday. I made the cherry tomatoes with garlic and some balsamic vinegar, the beans and zucchini with lemon rasp and garlic, and I added some bacon. Yesterday we had it with entrecôte, today with some bread.

Casali Original Schoko-Bananen
Well, the package is finished now. I love these chocolate-banana-sweets. I have only seen these in Germany so when I am in Cologne I buy a few packages to take home.
I love the tagline "ofcourse with Chiquita(TM) bananas". Of course, what else?

Blue shirt and number-tag
I ran as the first runner in my team, numbered 3000, in the Run van Winschoten. This is what happens to a sweaty shirt that is kept in a bag all day.
Run van Winschoten
View towards start and finish from the VIP tent of the city of Oldambt. After running as the first in my team I spent a big part of the day in the sunshine watching other people run. Big fun.

Osho's court in Cologne, the ugly side
When you walk in from this the ugly side, you will be surprised when you find an oasis in the midst of the busy city-life. Worshipping to the max.

Buddha
In the roofgarden of Osho Uta, Cologne, where it looks slightly more misty than it appeared to be in reality.

Waiting room
In the townhall of Oldambt in Winschoten, this is actually more the landing of the next floor.

Morninglight on the tower of the townhall
Apparently the last beautiful, sunshiny day of the late summer. It gets light later these days, and it is not as warm as it used to be. Even when it's very sunny.

Flying
Above Groot Wetsinge on our way to Borkum. We started in Eelde, flew to Borkum, had Appfelschorle and cake, then flew back. All this in less then two hours.

Pallert
Sunset in Pallert near Bourtange. We were looking at a house that was for sale. On the way, near the house, the sky was very red.
Zuiderdiep tweede drift
On the corner the house where there used to be the house where Harm and Klaas lived.

Knol
While waiting in the traffic-jam this morning (a 10 minute ride took me 55 minutes) I saw Knol's Koek factory. Knol's Koek is the local, special "Ontbijtkoek" which is the best of the best.
